Does healthcare need healing?

(Written when I had watched satyamev jayate episode on health care..)

SAtyamev jayate

Just watched last episode of ‘Satyamev Jayte’-

Bitter naked truth!
Unfortunatly it is all true… I don’t know about the places about Amir talked… But I know about where I live!

Everything is true… Commission to physicians by pathologists and surgeons… Commission from pharma companies to doctors… Higher prices are taken for too much lower cost drugs..

Do you all know why there is one medical store with one hospital? Because it’s a direct profit business… I mean show me any other business where buyer will come to you willingly to pay 3-5 times more money than the original price… That’s why now with new hospitals doctors are building pharmacy shops, so that from that direct profit commission can be taken…

Sample drugs are given to doctors by pharma companies. These sample drugs must be given to patients free. But what happens with them do you know? Most of them are sent to villages by medical representatives with filling their pockets higher cost… And others reach doctors, who sell it directly to patients… All this is ridiculous…

Some medicos said that show was biased and not true… But as long as I know it was the hard naked truth of medical profession that no doctor will want that people should know about this…

Whenever this type of situation comes all medical students start crying about living conditions, salary and other things… Yahh agreed… may be we all are underpaid as compared to what we deserve, but there is not any life at stake… And when we try to make money from this easy way that can kill someone..

This is not the time to hide such things… But it’s time for us to wake up… Come on wake up friends…

I don’t say that each person in our field is without any moral principles… But I want to say that unfortunatly most of them are without it…

“Before asking respect from people, respect our profession first… If you are a doctor then medical profession can give you a lot of money… But remember that our profession not as cheap as money…”
