Six Feet Under

“You are allowed to be scared. Life is scary. It’s fucking terrifying.”
– from SIX FEET UNDER

six feet under

I feel like helpless and fucked up because this TV series ended. Seriously, I miss it. I miss Fishers; especially, Nate’s life and his efforts to make everyone happy, Claire’s innovative ideas and her psychotic boyfriends, David’s emotions and phobias, their mild depressive mother, Ruth.

This TV series is nearer to my heart than any other I have seen till this date. I felt sadness of its characters many times and learned a lot about life from them, even more than my own life has taught me.

It gave me each day a new way to deal with pain. A new way to deal with death. And a feeling that life can be more devastating than death if you can not handle it properly. Learned to live life by being more and more alive day by day.

Thoughtful quotes from SIX FEET UNDER-

>”Why do people have to die?”
“To make life important. None of us know how long we’ve got. Which is why we have to make each day matter.”

>”No one else can tell anyone what to do.”

> “It’s time when you feel that it’s time.”

>”Love isn’t something you feel, its something you do. If the person you are with doesn’t want it, you know, do yourself a favor and save it for someone who does.”

> “You think you finally get to the bottom of feelings and there are more.”

> “Like, how many evildoers do you have to kill before you become one yourself, you know?”
– said by Claire Fisher after writing on wall “TERROR STARTS AT HOME”

>”We are all children when we truly love.”

>”Well, isn’t it comforting to know that being miserable is still better than being an idiot?”

> “I know that if you think life’s a vending machine where you put in virtue and take out happiness then you’re going to be disappointed.”

> “All we have is this moment, right here, right now. The future is just a fucking concept that we use to avoid being alive today. So be… here… now.”

>”You only get one life. There’s no God, no rules, except for those you accept or create for yourself. Then once it’s over… it’s over. Dreamless sleep forever and ever. So why not be happy while you’re here? Really, why not?”
