Issue 1 – A weekly blog post

Without going into the discussion why this blog is called ‘Your2ndHeart’ (pronounced as ‘Your second heart’!), I am just accepting that we both have agreed to its existence and its uncanny name.

Sitting inside ”Kaffe Fleck” of ‘Mayersche Buchhandlung’ in Aachen, my thoughts are wondering. I always wanted to start writing about my daily experiences and thoughts. Even though this blog has a tag line called ”Articulations of my ardent thoughts”, I have consciously avoided writing about my life here. After posting about it, once in 2017, I had suddenly realized that I was not ready.

Although, since a long time, I am comfortable at putting my experiences and feelings on a paper, my insecurities about the imperfection of my thoughts have not changed a bit since then and have played a huge role, preventing me to become a self-proclaimed writer on this blog.

But anyway, this ” Articulations of my ardent thoughts” is (a changed tagline, before it was, ‘Random thoughts of my mind”!) based on the title of a chapter, from my most favorite book, The Brothers Karamazov. The Chapter is called “The Confession Of An Ardent Heart”.

Recently, I am changing a lot of things in my life. Mainly small Habits.
I want to use this blog to start a ‘regular’ writing habit.

Book Highlight of the Week

“Don’t aim at success—the more you aim at it and make it a target, the more you are going to miss it. For success, like happiness, cannot be pursued; it must ensue, and it only does so as the unintended side-effect of one’s dedication to a cause greater than oneself or as the by-product of one’s surrender to a person other than oneself. Happiness must happen, and the same holds for success: you have to let it happen by not caring about it. I want you to listen to what your conscience commands you to do and go on to carry it out to the best of your knowledge. Then you will live to see that in the long run—in the long run, I say!—success will follow you precisely because you had forgotten to think of it.”
